Surah Quraish PDF (Read Online & Download)

Quarish was the tribe to whom Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH belonged. Allah blessed them with wealth and preferred them over other tribes. They had large businesses and trades from which they earned profits but forgot to worship Allah and made other idols. In this fantastic surah, Allah warns them to return to Him and worship Him.

The name of this surah is derived from the tribe Quraish, who were very famous among Arabian tribes. The word ”Quraish” also appeared in the first verse of this surah.

Quraish were a famous tribe among the Arabian tribes; Allah had showered numerous blessings upon them. Allah revealed surah Quraish to Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH to remind the Quraish of all the blessings and honor Allah had granted them and to warn them not to worship other idols.

Surah Quraish has the following features:

• It is a Meccan surah.
• It has only four verses.
• It proclaims to a specific tribe, “Quraish.”

Although the Arabian land was barren with no ability to grow food. Also, it doesn’t have water. But still, Allah blessed the tribe Quraish with His abundant blessings. Allah also honored the tribe of Quraish by granting them a neighborhood of the sacred house of Kab’bah, and provided them with food and water in the deserts of Mecca.

 Allah gave them prosperity through business by securing their travels in the north and south. But they forgot Allah and started to preach to idols. In this blissful surah Quraish, Allah reminds them to return to Him and worship Him as He is the only one worth worshiping.

Hadith About Surah Quraish

Allah showered several blessings upon the tribe of Quraish, including these seven traits, prophets among them, caliphates among them, phlebotomy cupping among them, watering, the pilgrims, worshipped Allah for ten years, overcoming the companions of elephants, and revealed a surah about them.

Narrated Wathila bin Al-Aqsa’ (R.A), That the Messenger of Allah (SAW), said:

 “Indeed Allah has chosen Isma’il from the children of Ibrahim (A.S), and He chose Banu Kinanah from the children of Isma’il, and He chose the Quraish from Banu Kinanah, and He chose Banu Hashim from Quraish, and He chose me from Banu Hashim.”At-Tirmidhi Vol. 1, Book 46, Hadith 360

Surah Quraish is a blissful surah of the Holy Quran reciting, which leaves its reciter with magical effects. The recitation of surah Quraish is recommended to get relief from cardiac diseases.

If someone is looking for a job, they must recite surah Quraish regularly; Allah would make it easy for them to get a job. Its recitation also eases childbirth, so a pregnant woman should recite it.

The reward of reciting surah Quraish PDF is immense; if a person recites surah Quraish, the reward is equal to doing tawaaf and staying in the sacred mosque for many days. A person who develops the habit of repeating this surah will be sent to Jannah on the day of Resurrection.

Surah Quraish is a Meccan surah and has only four verses. This surah was revealed specifically for the tribe of Quraish, which was an honored Arabian tribe.  Allah honored them by giving them residences near the scared house of Kab’ba, providing food for them, and securing them from every fear.

Although the land of Mecca is barren and can’t produce food, Allah made them the wealthiest among other tribes by providing them profits in trade. People of Quraish were scattered before moving to Mecca; Allah gathered, created unity among them, and honored them. But they forgot to worship Allah and preached their idols. In this surah, Allah warns them to stop preaching idols and to return to Him.
